Lead Exposure and Nutritional Status among Bangladeshi Children: Analysing Based on Bangladesh Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey. Hassan et al. Preprint. In nationally representative data from 10,495 children aged 1-5, higher blood lead levels were associated with increases in stunting.
Blood Lead Exposure, Renal Hyperfiltration, and Accelerated Kidney Function Decline Among People Living with HIV in Northern Tanzania: A Longitudinal Cohort Study. Nyanza et al. Toxicology Reports. In a four-year cohort of 943 adults, higher blood lead was associated with lower kidney function.
Lead in Solvent-Based Paints for Domestic Use in the Dominican Republic. Yerani Heredia de Rosado et al. ADEGA report. In the country’s first lead-paint study, 18 of 47 samples bought in Santiago de los Caballeros exceeded the recommended 90 ppm limit; yellow and orange paints reached up to 80 times that level.
Multijurisdictional Repository of Lead-Containing Consumer Products. NYC Health Department. This new downloadable pilot combines testing data from participating US jurisdictions to identify recurring product hazards and countries of origin and guide risk communication and regulatory action.
