New Publications and Resources
Cautious Signs of Progress on Lead Exposure in Bangladesh. Lee Crawfurd and Caroline Mallory. Center for Global Development. Using preliminary findings from the UNICEF Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey, we look at the national trends in blood lead since the government crackdown on turmeric adulteration.
A World Without Lead: Paving the Path to a Healthy, Productive Future. World Bank. The major new report calls for eliminating lead across the whole economy and argues that interventions to prevent lead pollution are among the most economically efficient development investments globally.
Upcoming Events
The Center for Global Development has released a call for submissions for the Second Annual Research Conference on Global Lead Exposure. It will be hosted in London, on June 3-4 2026. As well as oral and poster presentations of academic papers this year we will accept interactive workshops, briefings, and demonstrations.
