How Bangladesh Built a National Response to Address Lead Poisoning. Pure Earth. Fifteen years of work has lead to Cabinet approval of Bangladesh’s first national strategy and action plan for eliminating lead pollution by 2035.
Tanzania Moves to Eliminate Lead-Based Paint to Protect Children’s Health. Takwa. Daily News. Tanzanian agencies and civil society proposed a wider coalition and task force to move toward zero intentionally added lead in paint.
Blood lead levels (BLLs), exposure pathways and health impacts in South Asia: a comprehensive review. Roy and Das. Critical Reviews in Toxicology. Non-fuel sources now dominate lead exposure in South Asia, with contaminated rice, vegetables, spices, and air among the major pathways.

Other Announcements
Local Action Fund 2026. Lead Exposure Elimination Project. LEEP is offering $1000-5,000 grants to local NGOs, government bodies, and other organisations working to eliminate lead exposure. Fast-track proposals for ILPPW activities are due 28 August, and regular-track applications are due 11 September.
